But there's one I forgot to mention that is actually very good, interesting and entertaining ... "La grammaire en clair" by the wonderful Paul Rogers and Jeremy Long ...
I'm also mentioning it again because I'm increasingly realising that most of my readers probably don't read this blog in sequence, like a novel ... they just dip in here and there, so can easily miss bits of it.... no wonder, because it's getting on for 500 posts now. And if you are learning German, I can recommend its German counterpart, Alles Klar. There are not, rather tragically, Spanish or Welsh versions available. Grrr.
If any of you out there can recommend any more French textbooks that you think are excellent, you could let me know and I will put them on here ... or even more interestingly, you could warn us off all the crappy ones that exist ... I've got lots for a start.
Then, in the middle of those two extremes, here's one that looks good, it gets great reviews, but I haven't actually tried it... it's packed with clever way to remember French grammar and vocabulary ..apparently.
